Pregnancy Massage Designed Around Your Changing Body
Prenatal massage is registered massage therapy adapted for pregnancy. Positioning, pressure and technique are modified for each trimester so you are comfortable and your baby is safe. Sessions are side-lying with pillows and bolsters rather than face-down, and areas and pressure points that are avoided during pregnancy are left alone.
Our RMTs treat expecting parents from Cityscape, Skyview Ranch, Redstone, Cornerstone, Savanna, Saddle Ridge and Cornerbrook as part of our massage therapy service, with evening and Saturday appointments that fit around work and other children.
What Prenatal Massage Helps With
As your centre of gravity shifts and ligaments loosen, new aches appear. Pregnancy massage is most often booked for:
- Low back and sacroiliac pain
- Sciatica and leg pain
- Hip and pelvic girdle pain
- Neck and shoulder tension
- Swelling in the legs, ankles and hands
- Leg cramps and restless legs
- Difficulty sleeping and general stress
- Preparation for labour in the third trimester
What to Expect in Your Session
Your therapist reviews your pregnancy, any complications and your doctor or midwife’s guidance, then positions you comfortably on your side with support under the belly, between the knees and behind the back. Techniques are gentle to moderate, focusing on the low back, hips, legs and shoulders. Deep abdominal work and heavy pressure on the legs are avoided.
Prenatal massage is safe from the second trimester for uncomplicated pregnancies. If you have a high-risk pregnancy, pre-eclampsia, placenta previa or a history of clotting, we ask for clearance from your care provider first. Postnatal massage is available after delivery to help with recovery, and our pelvic floor physiotherapists can support postpartum rehab.

Our Patients Share Their Journey
After my motor vehicle accident, I was dealing with intense neck pain, lower back discomfort, and stiffness that made even simple movements difficult. Coming to Apollo Physio truly made a huge difference in my recovery journey. I received treatment from Vidhi, my physiotherapist, Janki, my massage therapist, and chiropractic care from Dr. Dhaliwal and I couldn’t have asked for a better team. Vidhi created a well-structured treatment plan and guided me through exercises that gradually improved my strength and mobility. She explained everything clearly and kept track of my progress at every step. Janki’s massage therapy sessions were incredibly helpful in reducing muscle tightness and relieving pain. After each session, I felt more relaxed and could move more freely. Chiropractic sessions with Dr. Dhaliwal were also a key part of my recovery. His adjustments helped improve my alignment and significantly reduced the stiffness and discomfort I was experiencing. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and made sure I was comfortable throughout each session. Within a few weeks, I noticed major improvements less pain, better movement, and a return to my normal daily routine. The combined approach of physiotherapy, massage, and chiropractic care really made the recovery process faster and more effective. The clinic is clean, well organized, and has a very positive and welcoming environment. The front desk staff are friendly and always helpful with booking and insurance related questions. I’m truly grateful to the entire team at Apollo Physio, especially Vidhi, Janki, and Dr. Dhaliwal, for their care and support. I highly recommend them to anyone recovering from a motor vehicle accident or dealing with pain they genuinely care and deliver excellent results.
I’ve been receiving treatment from Ramesh, PT, for several weeks following a motor vehicle accident, and I couldn’t be happier with the care I’ve received. Ramesh has been incredibly helpful in reducing my back and neck pain. He always takes the time to educate me on ways to prevent further injury, which I really appreciate. The front desk staff are equally friendly and professional, making each visit seamless and enjoyable. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone in need of physiotherapy. The team here genuinely cares about your well-being and goes above and beyond to help you recover!
I started visiting Ramesh Bimagani after a motor vehicle accident that caused pain in my shoulders and lower back. From the very first session, he was extremely professional, kind, and attentive. He took the time to understand my condition and explain everything clearly, which helped me feel confident and supported throughout the recovery process. Ramesh created a personalized treatment plan that focused on relieving my pain and improving mobility. His hands-on techniques and guided exercises made a huge difference — I could feel the improvement after just a few sessions. He’s patient, encouraging, and truly dedicated to helping his clients heal. Thanks to Ramesh, my shoulder and back pain have improved significantly, and I feel much stronger and more active again. I would highly recommend Ramesh Bimagani to anyone looking for an experienced and compassionate physiotherapist.
